Cactus Garden, Statue of Unity
The Cactus Garden Statue of Unity is a beautiful and large garden located near the famous Statue of Unity. Spread across 25 acres, the Cactus Garden showcases over 600,000 plants, including cacti and succulents from 450 different species. These plants are displayed both outdoors and inside a large dome that covers 836 square meters. The garden mimics a desert environment, contrasting sharply with the nearby water areas, providing a unique and interesting experience for visitors.
Right at the center of the Cactus Garden at the Statue of Unity, there’s a big greenhouse that beautifully displays these tough plants, which come from 17 different countries in North and South America, and Africa. This wide variety of plants not only makes the garden more beautiful but also helps teach students and plant lovers about how these plants have adapted to dry conditions. The garden is designed with detailed rock formations that show off the plants’ diversity in a vivid and educational way, making it a colorful and informative spot at the Statue of Unity.
